WINNIPEG – Premier Wab Kinew says Manitobans will be consulted on whether they should continue changing their clocks twice a year.

He says he and other politicians have been professionally and personally getting an earful about daylight time.

Do you think Manitoba should stay on daylight saving time?

He says he was at a rink with other hockey parents for an early practice last weekend when clocks sprang ahead, and he wondered, “Why are we doing this?”

He says his wife also says it’s a stupid idea and that the inboxes of legislature members are full of comments from Manitobans about it.

He says consultation will likely take the form of a survey.

British Columbia recently announced it’s moving to year-round daylight time.
