“It’s bobsled time” for Jamaica, which has qualified for bobsledding at the 2022 Beijing Olympics for the first time in 24 years.
The Jamaican team and their fans are hyped up for the three bobsled events they qualified for, as seen by multiple dancing videos posted that had many reacting on social media.
The country will compete in the four-man and two-man events and the one-woman monobob. This is the first time Jamaica has qualified for three Olympic bobsled events.
The teams’ best finish was 14th place in 1994, and they hope to beat that mark at this year’s Games.
The group consists of Shanwayne Stephens, Ashley Watson, Matthew Wekpe, Nimroy Turgott, and Rolando Reid.
