Cedrick Guindon of Rockland, Ont., scored twice to lead Canada to a 4-2 victory over Finland in the bronze-medal game of the male hockey tournament at the Youth Olympics in Lausanne, Switzerland on Wednesday.

Defenceman Denton Mateychuk of Dominion City and Winnipeg Ice forward Matt Savoie of St. Albert, Alta., were members of the Canadian team, made up of players born in 2004.

Canada, which lost 2-1 to the Americans in Tuesday’s semifinals, also received goals from Nate Danielson and Antonin Verreault.

Elmeri Laakso scored both goals for the Finns, who got a 24-save performance from Topias Leinonen. Canadian goaltender Vincent Filion made 18 stops.
