With its attention to early childhood development, it’s clear the Winnipeg Boldness Project is focused on a critical issue in the Point Douglas area (The Boldness Project, March 29). One wishes them success.

But here’s a suggestion: don’t ignore the many church-based initiatives already doing fine work in the area, including Inner City Youth Alive, Youth for Christ, Living Bible Explorers, A Secret Place and Hope Centre Ministries. These groups share concerns with the Winnipeg Boldness Project.

An initiative such as the Winnipeg Boldness Project will be strengthened if it draws on the experiences of those already working in the community.
