The number of properties without water in Winnipeg continues to increase.

City hall says another 45 properties were left without water between Sunday and today, for a total of 1,960 since November.

In contrast, the city was able to restore full water service to only eight properties in the past 24 hours.

The number of properties on the waiting list to be thawed now stands at 1,230, up from 1,193 reported on Sunday.

The city was able to provide temporary water service via hose connection to an additional 50 properties.
