Reel Pride International Film Festival set for Sept. 17 to 21

The Reel Pride International Film Festival will be held in Winnipeg from Sept. 17 to 21.

According to its website, the festival — now in its 40th year — will feature nine films, a short celebration, a screening of (Pride and Prejudice) at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, and a festival reception on Sept. 20.

A festival pass is $65 and tickets are $10.

Care4u 2025 conference set for Oct. 18

The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba will hold its Care4u 2025 conference on Oct. 18 from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Victoria Inn Hotel & Conference Centre (1808 Wellington Ave.).

According to its website, the event will be a day of education and support, where guests can gain practical tools to help them work through daily challenges, plan for the future, and build confidence as a care partner.
